Nutrifizz®

An effervescent tablet for optimal fluid and salt balance for young calves. It supports recovering after diarrhea. Nutrifizz® includes a combination of 50% pharmaceutical lactose, essential minerals, pro-biotics,  and an organic acid which gives Nutrifizz® unique characteristics.

Diarrhea is a debilitating disorder that leads to discomfort and delayed growth in calves. In the worst case, it can even result in mortality. Dehydration through diarrhea has a huge influence on the well-being of the calf. Diarrhea prevention is therefore of vital importance and is the keystone to problem-free rearing  of high performing dairy cows.

Nutrifizz®, more than an electrolyte

  • A unique combination of lactose, essential minerals, pro-biotics, and an organic acid supports the resistance.
  • Dissolves rapidly into a tasty drink for a good intake by the animals.
  • Both preventive and curative use:
    • Preventive: during transport, at reduced resistance, and at group housing, group changes, and group translocations.
    • Curative: restores fluid balance in case of diarrhea.
  • Due to the hygienic packaging (per tablet) and precise dosage no waste of product.

How to use

  • For additional energy boost and support of the resistance: dissolve 1 tablet in 1 liter of luke-warm water (40°C). Once a day, at least 2 hours after the first feeding.
  • At first signs of diarrhea/dehydration: dissolve 2 tablets in 2-liter lukewarm water (40°C). One-time administration instead of milk. Thereafter, start building up milk feedings again.
  • Nutrifizz® can be used starting from 3 days from birth until after weaning.

  • A 40 kg calf needs 6 liters of fluid intake a day.
  • A calf with diarrhea can lose more than 5 liters of fluids.
  • Damage to the intestinal wall from diarrhea means that fewer nutrients can be taken up.
